The gala event for the recent KPMG conference in Athens, Greece, was held at the fabulous "Zapion" venue. A 19th Century open air venue, with classical lines, it lends itself perfectly to the type of intimate event that Catalysm were trying to create for KPMG.
Essential Lighting's Tony Hall opted for using the Palco 3 watt LED flood for providing colour washes to the interior façade of the building. 24 units were placed around the balcony level, providing colour & effects to both the participants, and the venue. Generic lighting was a simple gobo wash to the stage, and a stage cover wash. Again, these were from units placed to the balcony ledge. The whole lighting rig ran from a 16 amp 3 phase supply, thanks to the efficiency of the LED floods. Programming was executed on a Vista T2 console by Mark Nicholson, enabling a very visual representation on the console of what was happening in the venue.
