We are delighted to announce that we have today become part of Production Resource Group LLC, (PRG).

It is business as usual at Essential Lighting, with the directors and whole team all maintaining exactly the same roles as before. Essential Lighting will be keeping their name, logo and identity, continuing as an independent brand, focussed on the markets that it serves. We remain absolutely committed to delivering the highest quality lighting services and equipment to the live event industry and our dry hire service to industry specialists.

Production Resource Group was formed in 1996 and has grown rapidly to become the largest and most diverse supplier of technical equipment and services in the world. The PRG group provides lighting, sound & projection services from 14 locations in the US, alongside bases in Canada, Mexico, the UK and Japan. They also manufacture scenery & scenic elements, as well as provide the automation system, Stage Command Systems. The group is currently expanding its range of services in the UK and Europe and is building a network of respected and established specialist brands within the region.

Essential Lighting and its board will be reporting directly to PRG headquarters in America. We are also looking forward to working alongside the existing PRG lighting operations in the UK, which will remain separate and focussed on the market sectors in which they operate.

For our customers, Essential Lighting becoming part of PRG is great news. The service remains unchanged but the additional access to equipment inventories in the UK and globally, will be of great advantage.

We will continue to expand and diversify our comprehensive range of lighting fixtures, control equipment and scenic LED and look forward to bringing you new equipment news through 2009 and beyond.
