More than £10m of the world's rarest and most iconic cars, dating from 1950 to the present day, were displayed on the 'Ultimate Collection' exhibition stand and in the Platinum Suite corporate hospitality area at the 2008 British Motor Show.
Vehicles included the $1m Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin DBS, Maserati Quattroporte S and Mercedes SLR McLaren, as well as classic supercars from years gone by, such as the Jaguar XJ220. There's even a Honda NSX, once driven by motor racing legend Ayrton Senna. On display for the first time ever in the UK are also a Koenigsegg Edition and Spyker C12 Zagato.
Essential provided lighting for both areas, working along side exhibition designers H Studio to approach the design in a clean and sophisticated way, using theatrical fixtures to wash each vehicles' podium in a pool of light, highlighting specific curves and showcasing the full powerful elegance of the collection.
Lighting for the Exhibition stand was designed by Mark Nicholson for Essential, and by Martin Locket for Essential in the Platinum Suite.
